Located at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, the Byodo-In Temple marks the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery on all sides, making it look like something out of a postcard.
Due to its unique position and exceptional command, the Battleship Missouri played a pivotal role in the surrender of the Empire of Japan. While most of us grow up reading about it, visiting the memorial was an experience in itself.
The second World War was a brutal occurrence. Thousands of lives were lost, and today, the USS Missouri, together with sunken Arizona, serve as reminders of all the sacrifices made by the young men in service of their country. If you want to know why we decided to visit the USS Missouri Memorial and what we saw, keep reading!
Located at the southeastern edge of Oahu, the Makapuu Beach displays the stunning beauty of Hawaii in all its raw glory. The large and small lava rock cliffs with giant waves crashing into them, creating an eerie atmosphere that pulls you towards itself. The perfectly turquoise sky, often marked by clouds, creates the ideal backdrop for photography.
The underwater rock formations create many unique shapes, which make this site popular as a tourist attraction. Not only that, but this spot is also considered one of the best in the world for snorkeling. So if you're looking for some underwater adventure while surrounded by colorful tropical fish and cute sea turtles, Sharks Cove is for you. If you want to know more about our experience here, keep reading!
Waikiki beach has been famous for many years because of Duke Kahanamoku, the father of modern surfing. Because of him, riding the giant waves became everyone's dream, and Waikiki became a dream destination. From the gorgeous turquoise beach to the stunning Diamond crater, Waikiki beach is the perfect spot!
If you’re from the city and have this mindset that NY doesn’t have much to offer other than the city, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. We were welcomed by a beautiful cove, the beach in some areas were made of smooth rocks and in others, traditional sand. There were also sand dunes, swamp areas, scalable mini mountains and beyond that a huge stretch of beach that was left alone entirely. So if you wanted the cove or the ocean, it was all yours.
When most people think of Black Sands beach they think of Iceland, and as they should. Reynisfjara is a beautiful goal of a destination that I really would love to get to someday. Shooting subjects on black sands contrasted by pieces of scattered glaciers would be nothing short of incredible. That said I was pleasantly surprised that California had a black sands beach as well, and this one was beautiful in its own right.
I’ve been eyeing this place ever since it started development. Friends and I would walk up and down the high line to the Javits Center pointing at the massive drill structure, meanwhile making Gurren Lagann references.
Happy to say the homies secured tickets to this super crowded attraction. It was free but you had to rsvp ahead of time since it was so popular. So decided to go with a couple of friends that were also photographers.
